Inspired by the romance of candlelit dining, Medusa is a rechargeable, modular lighting system for outdoors and indoors. Medusa can be adapted to ceiling, floor, wall and table formats using a variety of bases and brackets. Each "candle" uses a 1w luxeon LED module and can be detached for recharging. Medusa was developed as a concept by Ruth McDermott and Bettina Easton to explore the potential of LED lighting. It was short listed in the 2007 IDEA awards.
